The Academic Director is the driving force behind the educational and technical side of the MATLAB & Simulink Society. In this role, you’ll organise and deliver high-value academic content that helps our members build practical skills, deepen their understanding, and connect with professionals.

You’ll take the lead on planning and coordinating workshops, guest talks, technical tutorials, and networking events, ensuring the society offers meaningful learning opportunities throughout the year.

Responsibilities include:

Organising technical talks, workshops, and academic eventsPresenting and hosting said academic events (with support from other committee members)Leading the planning of skills-based sessions and coding tutorialsCollaborating with the committee to align events with student needsHelping members build confidence in MATLAB, Simulink, and related tools
