As a Social & Welfare Secretary you’ll help shape the social experience of the MATLAB & Simulink Society. This role is all about bringing people together and building a community through engaging non-academic activities.

You’ll take the lead on planning and delivering a range of non-academic events — from relaxed socials and study sessions to pub trips and games nights. This is a great role for someone outgoing who enjoys event planning and student life.

Responsibilities include:

Organising and running socials, trips, and other fun eventsFinding and booking suitable venuesWorking with the Marketing Officer to promote events effectivelySupporting the Treasurer with budgeting and event planningHelping to grow and maintain an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere

No prior experience is needed — just enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to get involved!
