Musical directors run rehearsals and arrange music for the group to learn. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and running rehearsals
• Arranging music for the group to learn
• Running auditions and callbacks
• Assigning parts and solos
• Keeping track of members' ranges, usual sung parts and solo allocations to keep things fair
• Arranging a high-standard BOSW, ICCAs and Edinburgh Fringe set
• Offering help to those who are struggling/sending part recordings
• Maintaining a high standard of A cappella within the group, and having difficult conversations when things become difficult
• Attending EVERY gig and every rehearsal or making arrangements in your absence
• Time management skills with learning new songs and building up a repertoire in time for gigs
• Assisting the presidents with finding and arranging gigs
• Overseeing Fringe Arrangement plans 
• Buying a pitch pipe :D
