The Treasurer oversees all the financial aspects of the society and, alongside the President, holds responsibility for our accounts. It is an essential role within the running of Footlights as a society, and within our show processes. The main function is the facilitation of the creative and social vision of the society through the allocation of financial resources. The primary responsibilities of the Treasurer’s responsibilities are: the creation and maintenance of the annual society budget, the handling of all payments in and out of the society account, the management of membership prices and lists, and the supervision of the project budgets, both for the shows and the individual production teams that are needed during a typical Footlights year. It is important for the Treasurer to carefully consider how the society’s funds may be used differently to still provide the best experience for our members.
