Position Information
Duties:
- Be the chief financial officer and accountant for the society.
- To oversee the financial status and development of the society, ensuring as far as possible the ISOC remains financially healthy.
- Act and oversee the production of an annual budget and present a financial report to all members at the AGM.
- Ensure that all members have purchased membership.
- To ensure the Isoc is making the most of all funding opportunities such as grants from the Guild, Chaplaincy, or funding from external sponsorship deals or alumnus.
- Have the responsibility to write and sign off financial forms of the society.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of the Society’s income and expenditure.
- Create termly budgets based on current finances, so that the committee has a clear overview of finances to make informed decisions.
- Create a budget and financial report for every campaign so campaign heads are aware of expenditure.
- Arrange funding and sponsorship for the Society.
- Ensure that committee members or society members get their reimbursements from the Society’s Guild account as swiftly as possible.
Requirements:
- To generally be good and savvy at money management.
- To be able to use a suitable spreadsheet to keep track of ISOC finances.
- To be available at sports events and charity events to oversee collections and transport money to the bank.
- To be honest and trustworthy.
- To have good communication and networking skills.
- To be persuasive.
- To be strategic.
