Vice President of External Outreach

Role : Builds external partnerships and communicates with outside organizations

Weekly Expectations:

• Reach out to companies, NGOs, or speakers for collaborations, sponsorships, or events.
• Maintain a CRM (contact list or outreach tracker).
• Follow up with potential partners.
• Attend and find networking events.
• Coordinate with external mentors if needed.
• Run the Linked In. 
• Liaise with VP of Marketing and Publicity to promote and organise findings

Internal Outreach

Roles : Engages and supports current members (builds community), Engage with internal departments and individuals. 

Weekly Expectations: 

• Run weekly member engagement activities (polls, informal meetups, etc.).
• Handle welcome messages or onboarding for new members (work with publicity for this)
• Collect member feedback and relay to the committee.
• Promote internal volunteering opportunities.
• Help build a friendly and inclusive culture.

Treasurer

Roles: Helping out with charity & themed weeks we will be running, sorting the associated finances and working closely with the VP of External Outreach to secure potential sponsorships.

Weekly Expectations: 

• Keep check with finances
• Work closely with VPs and event officer

Publicity Officer

Roles: Designs and distributes content to promote the society and events

Weekly Expectations: 

• Create posters, digital graphics, and social media content.
• Post regularly on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok etc.
• Help write engaging captions and promotional text.
• Monitor and respond to comments and messages on platforms.
• Work with Marketing, events, internal and external outreach

Postgraduate Representative: 

Roles: Represents the needs and interests of postgrad members 

Weekly Expectations: 

• Gather feedback from postgrad students.
• Promote events in postgrad-specific channels or networks.
• Suggest and help plan events relevant to postgraduates (e.g., networking, research talks).
• Liaise with postgraduate student bodies or university departments. 

Academic coordinator: 

Roles: Book, attend, organise weekly study sessions

Weekly Expectations: 

• Book rooms for 2 hour study session a week 
• Liaise with publicity 
• Attend the weekly study space and create an inclusive community.
