The University of Exeter Iraqi Society is a newly established, student-led organization with a primary objective of fostering cultural exchange and understanding. Our mission is to unite individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a genuine interest in Iraqi culture.

We are committed to providing an inclusive platform for both Iraqis and non-Iraqis, where we can collectively showcase the vibrant culture, values, and way of life. By doing so, we aim to create a strong sense of community among our members at Exeter.

Our activities encompass a wide range of experiences, including exploring various Iraqi dances, savoring authentic cuisines, and delving into Iraq's rich history. Beyond these cultural aspects, we also strive to deepen our members' appreciation of Iraq's multifaceted heritage, including its languages, while raising awareness of pertinent issues related to the country. Our agenda covers diverse topics, from cultural and political discussions to charitable initiatives and social events.

Our overarching goal is to promote unity and peace within the university community while expanding our understanding of Iraq and its people. We seek to dispel stereotypes and show that Iraq is more than just a subject of political debate. With a dedicated and enthusiastic committee at the helm, we are determined to realize these objectives and assist you in seamlessly integrating into university life.

Through the creation of a welcoming community that brings together Iraqis and enthusiasts of Iraqi culture, we aim to celebrate our distinctively rich heritage and diversity, all while having an enjoyable time.
