The Sober Socials Society aims to have fun and socialise without alcohol. For those who don’t drink or go to clubs, University can feel very lonely. We believe that there should be a society that represents sober students, especially those who are looking for socials on the quieter side.

We aim to:

• To facilitate a safe, sober space for those who struggle with loud nights out and those who do not drink regularly.
• To combat university loneliness by making social events seem less daunting and providing opportunities to make friends outside of clubbing culture.
• To set up events on campus that are on the quieter side whilst also carrying out termly trips to venues such as Boneyard Arcade and the Cinema.
• To fundraise for local charities focusing on combatting addiction and raising awareness about the dangers of frequent alcohol consumption.
