Exeter University Choral Society is the university’s only un-auditioned classical choir and sings a wide range of choral works from Vivaldi’s Gloria to Mozart’s Requiem. We are a welcoming mix of students and associate members of all musical abilities, including complete beginners.

We have at least one concert per term at venues such as St David’s Church, the Northcott Theatre and Exeter Cathedral. Our most recent performances include Fauré’s Requiem, Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Haydn’s The Creation accompanied by the University Chamber Orchestra. In our summer term we held a Coronation themed ‘Come and Sing’ where we worked on Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Handel’s Coronation Anthems including the ever-popular Zadok the Priest. We also offer workshops, and have recently hosted the famous composer and conductor, John Rutter!

We rehearse every Monday evening from 7-9pm at the Mary Harris Memorial Chapel (near the Forum) on Streatham Campus. This term we will be rehearsing Mozart’s Coronation Mass and CPE Bach's Magnificat for our concert in November, please feel free to join us at any rehearsal throughout the term! Our rehearsals are usually followed by a trip to the pub, but there is no pressure to drink, and we host other socials throughout the year including our Christmas dinner.
