The Pre-Clinical Rep is the voice of pre-clinical students within the medical school, representing their views and interests to the wider school/faculty and student body.
What the role involves:
Acting as the main point of contact between pre-clinical students and the medical school on academic and welfare mattersGathering feedback from pre-clinical cohorts (e.g. through surveys, casual conversations, or year group chats) and raising issues at relevant meetings or committeesHelping to organise or promote events aimed at pre-clinical students, such as socials, welfare initiatives, or study supportSupporting new students (e.g. Freshers) as they transition into pre-clinical studies, helping them feel welcome and informedLiaising with other reps (e.g. clinical reps, welfare officers) to ensure continuity as students progress through the courseFlagging any recurring concerns about teaching, timetabling, or resources to the appropriate staff or committeeElection Positions
