The producer for the Northcott will be on board with the project from the beginning. They will be involved with the interview process of directors and will be responsible for all communication with the team at the Northcott over the course of the project. This will include the following: 

• Reviewing the contract with the President and Treasurer 
• Meeting with the Northcott marketing, stage and technical teams 
• Project managing the production: leading the production team; contributing to the creative vision of the piece; liaising with the Treasurer about budget; leading communication with outside companies for staging, set, etc.; being the lead contact on the show during show week; organising and supervising get in/get out of the venue. 

The Northcott Producer will work closely with the Production Supervisor assigned to the project. The Production Supervisor will continue to be the link between the Northcott production and the committee, helping individual production teams get what they need from the relevant committee member, and popping in to rehearsals to be a friendly face for the team. The Northcott Producer will produce the show as they normally would in the role, but will take on more responsibility for the contracting and management of the process. 

Once the Northcott production is over, this person will then take on responsibility for organising socials and workshops for society members. This will leave the Fundraising and Events Manager more free to work with the shows’ fundraising teams. In doing this, this person will essentially be responsible for society engagement opportunities, communicating with professional companies for workshops, and organising social events for all members.

This role will be a big responsibility but it is an incredibly rewarding experience. In producing the show, you get to see what you have created with the team come to life; there is nothing quite like it. It is also an amazing way to get experience producing in a professional venue and you will form relationships with industry professionals throughout the year.
