Election Information

Welcome to the First Aid Society's Annual General Meeting (AGM) Election!

This is your chance to play a vital role in shaping the future of our society by participating in the election process. Below, you'll find important information and rules regarding the upcoming election:

Nomination Period: Nominations for committee positions for the 2024/25 academic year will be open from Monday, March 11th at 12:00 PM until Monday, March 18th at 10:00 PM. During this period, members are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for available positions.

Candidate Advocacy: Candidates will have the opportunity to speak at the AGM to advocate why the membership should vote for them. This is a chance for candidates to share their vision and ideas for the society.

Election Period: The election period will run from Monday, March 18th at 10:00 PM to Friday, March 22nd at 12:00 PM. During this time, members will have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred candidates.

Rules and Eligibility:

The election of the Vice President will be considered void if the elected President and Unit Manager are two separate individuals.
For positions associated with the Exeter Student Volunteering Unit with St John Ambulance (SJA), it's recommended that candidates have prior membership with SJA.
The role of Welfare Officer is considered a bolt-on-role and candidates must be successfully elected into another committee role to be eligible for this position.

Results: The successful candidates will be contacted on the evening of Friday, March 22nd. Additionally, the weekly newsletter following the election will contain all information regarding successful candidates.
