Position Information
As taken from the EUFAS constitution:
- To be open for society members/committee members to disclose welfare/safeguarding issues.
- To ensure welfare/safeguarding disclosures are handled in a professional, confidential manner.
- To signpost those giving disclosures to the appropriate bodies for further support.
- To help promote a culture of wellbeing within the society, including promotion and signposting of appropriate wellbeing services to society members.
Please Note
The role of Welfare Officer is considered a bolt-on-role. This means that candidates cannot stand solely for the role of Welfare Officer without also running for another position on the EUFAS 24/25 committee. To be eligible for the Welfare Officer role, candidates must be successfully elected into another committee role. Otherwise, their nomination for Welfare Officer will be voided.
