The Academic Secretary is responsible for organising the society's academic events. These will primarily be external speakers internal debates, and internal help cases. The Academic Secretary will be expected to liaise with lecturers and staff of the three PPEs.

Departments promote ideas that PPE students have, attract external speakers to visit, and ensure the smooth running of events. As the PPE Society is an academic society, successful academic events are crucial to the success of the society. 

The Academic Secretary will therefore need to be able to understand what speakers and events will attract attendees.
