The General Secretary is responsible for overseeing the general admin of the society. They are primarily responsible for handling the society's emails. Over the summer, the General Secretary will reach out to companies to try and gain sponsorship for the society. In addition, the General Secretary is responsible for organising meetings and taking notes at them, as well as arranging elections and AGMs. They will work with other member of the society and so they must be reliable and a good team mate. 

This year the General Secretary  will also be responsible for handling the welfare that the society offers. They are a port of call for PPE members who need help and advice, signposting them to relevant helplines.
