The University of Exeter Law Society are holding an election to fill the following committee positions:

• First Year Admin Support Officer
• First Year Bar Support Officer
• First Year Careers Support officer
• First Year Community Support officer
• Run Club Captain 
• Cricket Captain
• Sport Co-ordinator
• Postgraduate Officer
• Welfare & Accessibility Officer

Election timeline

13.10 (09:00) - Nominations for all positions open. During this time, candidates must nominate themselves via the Guild website, and can campaign for their position. 

19.10 (venue and timings TBC) - Hustings will be held on campus.

20.10 (09:00)  - Nominations close and voting will begin. 

23.10 (09.00) - Voting will close. 

24.10 (09.00) - Results will be announced!

Hustings

Hustings will be held on campus during the day on 19th October 2025.

All candidates for the same role will be given the opportunity to give a one minute pitch, in turn, to the audience.

Once all pitches for a given roles are completed, the audience and/or committee members in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions to candidates (no more than three questions per role).

Each candidate will be given the opportunity to answer the same question(s).

Hustings are intended to be an informal and fun way for candidates to showcase why they should be elected to the role that they are running for, and for members to decide who they would like to vote for.

Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged!
