Welcome to the First Aid Society's Annual General Meeting (AGM) Election!
This is your chance to play a vital role in shaping the future of our society by participating in the election process. Below, you'll find important information and rules regarding the upcoming election:
Nomination Period: Nominations for committee positions for the 2025/26 academic year will be open from Monday, 12th of May at 17:00 until Saturday 17th of May at 12:00 PM. During this period, members are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for available positions.
Candidate Advocacy: Candidates will have the opportunity to speak at the AGM to advocate why the membership should vote for them. This is a chance for candidates to share their vision and ideas for the society.
Election Period: The election period will run from Saturday, 17th of May at 12:00 PM to Friday, 23rd of May at 17:00. During this time, members will have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred candidates.
Rules and Eligibility:
- The role of Vice President is considered a bolt-on-role and candidates must be successfully elected into another committee role to be eligible for this position.
- The role of Welfare Officer is considered a bolt-on-role and candidates must be successfully elected into another committee role to be eligible for this position.
- For the St John Ambulance Unit Liaison Officer role, it's recommended that candidates have prior membership with SJA.
Results: The successful candidates will be contacted as soon as results are available to the current committee, likely on the evening of Friday, 23rd of May although this may be later i.e over the weekend or into the following week. Additionally, the weekly newsletter and social media updates following the election will contain all information regarding successful candidates.
