The Treasurer is responsible for managing the finances of the Latin American Society and ensuring that the society's funds are handled responsibly and transparently. They oversee the society's budget, keep accurate records of all income and expenditure, and provide regular financial updates to the committee so that informed decisions can be made throughout the year.

The Treasurer plays a key role in planning and supporting the society's events and activities, ensuring that spending stays within budget and that funds are allocated effectively. They are also responsible for processing reimbursements, managing any fundraising income, and liaising with the university's student union regarding financial matters and funding applications.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with numbers. No formal financial qualifications are required,  just a responsible attitude, good organisational skills, and a commitment to keeping the society's finances in good order.
