Aims and objectives:

1. To provide high quality Ballroom and Latin dance lessons to Exeter University students and affiliated members.

2. Promoting Ballroom and Latin dancing within the University.

3. Represent Exeter University at public events and competitions.

Welcome to Exeter University Ballroom and Latin Society!

EUBLS offer weekly Ballroom and Latin lessons for members, non-members and non-students at Beginner, Novice and Intermediate level. We also represent the University at competitions across the country, the highlight being IVDC in Blackpool, the home of Ballroom! 

Alongside competitions we host events such as Exeter Does Strictly Come Dancing and put on a variety of socials throughout the year! Whether you’ve danced for years or are trying Ballroom and Latin for the first time, we offer something for everyone!

This year, we are introducing biweekly technique classes aimed at all levels ran by Richard and Teresa Tandy, who are very accomplished and experienced in the world of Ballroom and Latin (more info below)!

Membership is available to buy on the guild website from TBC 2026.

Beginners: £3 for 1, £5 for 2 (members prices)

Monday 5:30-6:15pm- Ballroom
              6:15-7:00pm- Latin                                                                                                                      

Novice: £3 for 1, £5 for 2 (members prices)

Odd term weeks 
Wednesday 4:00-4:35pm- Ballroom
                    4:35-5:10pm- Latin

Even term weeks 
Wednesday 5:15-5:50pm- Ballroom
                    5:50-6:30pm- Latin

Intermediate: £3 for 1, £5 for 2 (members prices)

Trainings: All levels

Thursday afternoon/evening (time TBC) - open training for members, music will be played for independent practice.

Sunday afternoon/evening - members only Competition Training, TCs are around for questions and free privates can be booked.

Professional teaching:

Opportunity to attend biweekly technique classes, ran by Richard and Teresa Tandy, aimed at all levels.
