About Us

Aims and Objectives:

  • Help members learn new skills and work on simple patterns, or you can bring your own projects too.
  • Welcome everyone from complete novices to expert knitters and crocheters. There will always be someone happy to teach the basics, so no experience is necessary to join us.
  • Create a welcoming and friendly space for all students to destress and meet new people

Join us in one of the Forum Seminar Rooms on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30-8pm where we knit, crochet, chat and eat biscuits! The exact room will be confirmed every week in the email and via our social medias.

Each week we’ll help you learn new skills and work on simple patterns, or you can bring your own projects too. We are also  happy to help you find a pattern for your next project from our stash and sometimes will provide patterns for themed sessions.

We welcome everyone from complete novices to expert knitters and crocheters. There will always be someone happy to teach the basics, so no experience is necessary to join us.

New members can join at any stage of the year - please don't feel if you've missed the first sessions it's too late to come. It's just £6 to join– which includes a full knitting or crochet kit.

Kit contents 2024/25:

  • your choice of knitting needles or crochet hook
  • 100g ball of 100% cotton wool
  • tapestry needle
