Formed in 2012, Exeter University Big Band is an award winning, non-auditioned jazz ensemble. We play a huge variety of charts spanning a wide range of genres; featuring jazz, swing, latin, pop and funk.

Big Band are always in high demand for gigs at society balls, local festivals and bars. Major events throughout the year include: Battle of the Big Bands- A competition between Big Bands from Falmouth, Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol Universities, which will be hosted by Exeter this year. Enchanted Garden Ball- a highlight for Exeter Students to finish off the year, at which Big Band has played at previously.

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and friendly society and host many socials that put the band together as a community, as well amongst other Exeter Music societies.
