Exeter Engineers RFC is an amateur RFU affiliated rugby club. We are a casual, social and friendly rugby side that welcome all students. The club was founded by Engineering undergraduates in 2006 however, since 2010, it has been open to all degree disciplines and now boasts a membership base of over 180 students.

Exeter Engineers RFC offers training and development to rugby players of all abilities having coached new comers to international 7’s players. The club appeals to students due to its competitive yet social ethic with tough fixtures followed up by fun inclusive socials. Training is on Wednesdays between 2pm-4pm at Exeter Athletic. EERFC boasts 3 teams: a First XV squad competing in the Counties 3 Tribute Devon NE league, a 2nd XV who play in the Devon Merit League NE league and a 3rd XV the Nuts and Bolts who play regular friendly fixtures against local teams. There is an opportunity for competitive game time for all.

The aims and objectives of the club are to foster an inclusive rugby club environment, which is open to students of all abilities from any degree discipline. We offer students a unique, 'Club Rugby' experience at University, allowing students with higher contact hours and/or additional commitments, a healthier balance of University sport and studies. This includes opportunities for developmental training sessions and competitive matches for all players.
