Exeter Engineers RFC is an amateur RFU affiliated rugby club. We are a casual, social and friendly rugby side that welcome all students. The club was founded by Engineering undergraduates in 2006 however, since 2010, it has been open to all degree disciplines and now boasts a membership base of over 130 students, growing exponentially each coming year.

Exeter Engineers RFC offers training and development to rugby players of all abilities having coached new comers to international 7’s players. The club appeals to students due to its competitive yet social ethic with tough fixtures followed up by fun inclusive socials. Training is on Wednesdays between 2pm-4pm. EERFC boasts 2 teams: a First XV squad competing in the Tribute Counties 3 Devon NE League and a more relaxed, 2s Squad who compete in the Devon Merit League. There is an opportunity for competitive game time for all.

The aims and objectives of the club are to promote an inclusive rugby club which is open to students of all abilities from any degree discipline. We offer fun yet structured, developmental training sessions and competitive matches for all players. With one of the largest changes in Neers' history taking place this 2024-25 season where both of our teams have been promoted up a league. This forthcoming year we hope to show Devon once again the true definition of ‘flair rugby’ and continue on to shine as Exeter Universities' resident grassroots rugby club.
