About Us

Aims and Objectives:

  • Performing high quality brass music in at least one performance per term.
  • Raising awareness of smaller societies in the Exeter music scene, specifically brass instruments.
  • Being inclusive and supportive of all brass players, providing fun and diverse rehearsals.

The Exeter University Brass Ensemble is a traditional brass ensemble with a modern twist. We are a small group of brass players who meet up weekly to play a repetoire as diverse as our musical instruments - we play more traditional brass tunes such as MacArthur Park, more challenging pieces including Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder, and lighter, fun arrangements of movie music from the likes of Star Wars to The Avengers .

While unauditioned, we offer a high quality performance, having played throughout Exeter. We go busking in town fairly regularly to help raise funds for the group and for society socials.

We are always looking to obtain more music, and if you have any questions please email (above). If you are interested in composing for a ten piece brass ensemble then please get in touch and we will try out the piece(s).
