Who We Are:

Welcome to the Exeter University Swing Dance Society (EUSDS)! ✨

We are an inclusive society founded in 2023 with a focus on bringing attention to the vibrant swing dancing community here in Exeter, and educating our members on the rich history of swing dance.

Never danced before? No problem! We welcome everyone from all experience levels and aim to create a fun, empowering and supportive environment. 

We're so excited to continue growing our community of dancers and would love for you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram, where we'll bring you weekly class updates, social announcements, and news about exciting Swing Dance events in Exeter all in one place.

What We Do:

The classes we run in Term 1 will be for Lindy Hop - a dynamic style of Swing Dance originating from African American communities in 1930s Harlem. Our beginner-friendly classes are a great way to meet new people and learn new skills. We'll keep it varied with a mix of solo and partner routines across the year! 

Our weekly classes run every Tuesday from 19:30-20:30, and every Friday from 18:30-19:30 in the Lemon Grove Back Room (with time for social dancing afterwards to practice your newly acquired moves!) Keep an eye out on Instagram, Facebook, or our WhatsApp group for changes in venue/time!
