The Central Asian Society is a cultural and academic student society dedicated to celebrating the rich history, traditions, and contemporary life of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Our society provides a welcoming and supportive community for students from Central Asia, while also promoting greater cultural awareness and understanding of the region within the wider University of Exeter student body. We aim to create a platform where students can connect socially, engage academically, and share perspectives on Central Asia’s culture, history, and global relevance.

Through cultural celebrations, academic discussions, and social events, the Central Asian Society encourages meaningful intercultural exchange and fosters a sense of belonging for all members. The society is open to all students, regardless of nationality or background, who have an interest in Central Asia.
