Aims and Objectives:

• Hold 4-6 gigs per academic year ranging from smaller ‘taste of soul’ gigs to our biggest gig of the year at the Exeter phoenix in collaboration with the University's Jazz Orchestra. 
• Establish a welcoming environment for our singers and to encourage inclusivity amongst the choir as well as our audience and the local music scene.
• Hold an array of socials, from karaoke nights to coffee shop visits to live music events such as Friday music nights at Firehouse and supporting other music society performances. 

A group of around 40 singers with our very own Soul band; we like our music live and soulful, and perform a range of songs, whether that is classic soul tunes, funk/jazz inspired bops, or more contemporary neo-soul grooves. 

From charity fundraisers in venues such as The Monkey Suit, Christmas Concerts in St Davids Church and our annual joint performance with the Exeter University Jazz Orchestra at the Phoenix, Soul Choir has built a reputation of producing great live music with bagfuls of SOUL. If you want to meet like minded people who all have a passion for music and love to sing, then come and audition for us!
