Whilst women do formulate a large proportion of medical students, there are still barriers that exist in specific medical fields, leadership positions and within career progression. The ultimatum of this society is to foster a safe and supportive environment for students to discuss challenges, develop skills and connect with like-minded individuals.

Aims and objectives:

Provide networking opportunities for students with female clinicians, researchers, alumni, as well as improving employability for future medical careers

Run academic and professional development events, for example talks, workshops, mentoring, charity fundraising events

Allow students to come together to discuss and target gender-related issues within medical fields

Foster a supportive, diverse and interactive environment for female identifying students within the university
