Based in the heart of Exeter University’s beautiful grounds, Campus Cinema is an award-winning society run by students.
Established seven decades ago, our committee of dedicated film fans aims to provide the best possible service and selection of films for our patrons. Housed in Devonshire House’s M&D Room and complete with professional-standard digital projection, 35mm projection, graduated seating and Dolby Surround Sound, we strive to deliver the beloved classic cinema experience. At Campus Cinema we pride ourselves on the diversity of our film choices, from mainstream blockbusters to independent, foreign, and documentary films; whatever we think will entertain, educate and enthral our customers. And all are welcome!
Campus Cinema is the cheapest cinema in Exeter and although our core audience consists of the university’s student population, we are open to everyone. Any patron may become a member for the academic year and receive a reduction on ticket prices to all our events and screenings. With screenings every Tuesday and Sunday, you can buy tickets 30 minutes before the beginning of the screening (cash only) or online here on our Guild page. Online tickets will be released two weeks before a screening.
Popcorn and a selection of sweets and chocolate confectionary are also available at low prices at the door on the night.
The money we make is poured straight back into the running of the cinema, providing you – our customers, both local Exonians and fellow students – with the very best service and the very best films…Enjoy the show!
Aims and Objectives:
- Providing an affordable, high-quality cinema experience to both our student community and members of the public
- Providing discounted prices, special offers on events we conduct for our members, as well as enabling our members to become more involved in the film industry through education and contributing to the operation of our community cinema
- Operating as a cinema that recognises and celebrates the spectrum of film that is produced, showcasing titles that include blockbusters but go beyond to present foreign and independent films that cannot enjoy as wide a distribution
Ticket prices: £2 Members, £4 Non-members
P.S. We're always looking to welcome new people to our student Committee, and get involved with running the cinema and help pick the films we show. If you're interested about learning more, talk to the committee at any of our screenings or message us on our social media platforms!
