Society Description
I want to create a society that makes research accessible, engaging and achievable for medical students at the University of Exeter. Many of my fellow medical students want to get involved in research but struggle to find guidance, mentorship and opportunities. This society will bridge that gap by connecting medical students with clinicians and academics while providing the skills, support and confidence needed to take part in meaningful projects.
Aims and Objectives
- Make research approachable for medical students (irrespective of experience)
- Connect medical students with mentors for QIPs, audits and academic projects
- Deliver workshops and teaches on research methods, critical appraisal and academic writing
- Publicise grants, competitions and opportunities that will strengthen portfolios
- Build a supportive community that values curiosity, innovation and growth
