Society Description

Very important as Shia Muslim students are a minority within a minority. They severely lack representation at Exeter, we've worked very hard to overcome the hurdles.

  • To provide a platform for learning and discussion about Islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Ahlulbayt in a respectful and inclusive manner
  • To foster a sense of community and belonging among the members of the society and
-the wider Muslim community on campus
-Shia Muslim students across the UK via the MSC (Muslim Student Council)
    -Shia Muslim community in Exeter
  • To represent the voice and interests of the followers of the Ahlulbayt (Shia Muslims) in the university
  • To organise events and activities that celebrate Islamic faith, heritage and culture, through lectures, workshops, socials, charity fundraisers, social media and important commemorations
  • To collaborate with other societies and organisations that share similar goals and interests- interfaith dialogue, social justice and humanitarian causes
