Society Description
Very important as Shia Muslim students are a minority within a minority. They severely lack representation at Exeter, we've worked very hard to overcome the hurdles.
- To provide a platform for learning and discussion about Islam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Ahlulbayt in a respectful and inclusive manner
- To foster a sense of community and belonging among the members of the society and
-the wider Muslim community on campus
-Shia Muslim students across the UK via the MSC (Muslim Student Council)
-Shia Muslim community in Exeter - To represent the voice and interests of the followers of the Ahlulbayt (Shia Muslims) in the university
- To organise events and activities that celebrate Islamic faith, heritage and culture, through lectures, workshops, socials, charity fundraisers, social media and important commemorations
- To collaborate with other societies and organisations that share similar goals and interests- interfaith dialogue, social justice and humanitarian causes
