The aims of study abroad society are:

• To bring together students with a year abroad as part of their course,
• To provide a space for returning students to give advice to students planning their year abroad, 
• To introduce students to different world cultures through country themed events,
• To provide a space for students to make friends who will graduate in the same year, and thus facilitate finding housemates for their final year upon returning from their year abroad,
• To work closely with the outbound team on disseminating key information on opportunities abroad,
• To create a database of country and university specific application tips and recommendations.
