Society Description
We have decided to establish a distinct society on campus, aimed at addressing a specific gap we
have identified in the current landscape of student faith-based organisations. We have observed
that there is currently no group on campus that caters specifically to the needs of students who
identify with this particular segment of Christianity, which combines both a Pentecostal experience
with a thoughtful, apologetic approach to faith. While we acknowledge and appreciate the valuable
contributions made by existing faith-based societies, we believe that the establishment of the PENSA
will provide a unique platform for students whose beliefs align with Pentecostal, charismatic, and
evangelical doctrines. Our aims and objectives include:
Facilitate regular Bible study sessions to deepen theological understanding and personal
faith.
Organise prayer meetings and worship services to foster a strong spiritual community.
Conduct workshops and seminars on personal development, leadership, and career
planning.
Encourage members to apply Christian principles in their academic and professional lives.
Organise community service projects to instil a sense of social responsibility and
compassion.
Create a welcoming and supportive environment for students to form meaningful
friendships.
Organise social events and retreats to strengthen bonds within the community.
Facilitate discussions on contemporary issues and how the Christian faith can provide
solutions.
Encourage active participation in university events to influence the wider student
community positively.
Highlight the unique emphasis on holistic empowerment and practical application of faith in
all areas of life.
Foster collaborations with other faith groups, while maintaining a distinctive focus on the
Pentecostal tradition.
Provide a platform for students to explore and express their faith in diverse and innovative
ways.
