We want to restart the discontinued Beats and Bass society, but expanding and improving it for an audience to include anyone who enjoys underground electronic and dance music, whether you are a DJ or not.

So far there is no current active society that accommodates this form of music. After surveying we have received a large amount of interest in the society among the student body so we believe it will be a success.

We consist as a group of old members wanting to bring back our community, as well as keen newcomers wanting to join and celebrate our form of music. The absence of the community in this half of 2022 has made it even more clear how important the society is to our community.

Aims and Objectives

- To provide a community for people interested in all forms of electronic and dance music in the University 

- To provide social opportunities such as music events for meeting others interested in dance and electronic music

- To teach and run activities ranging from DJing to music production for the next generation of artists

- The society will be a rebirth and rebrand of the discontinued Beats and Bass society
