Society Description
Aim to educate people about the sport
Provide opportunities for training to become qualified to those interested
Provide the opportunity for students to give skydiving a go whether that is a charity skydive, a regular tandem or Ifly (indoor skydiving)
Make the sport more accessible through BSL sessions relevant to skydiving, and providing a communication link to drop zones for students who are physically limited, but still may be able to skydive with additional measures put in place
The community around the sport is very welcoming no matter background, age, ability, and it is great to bring more people in.
To reduce the limiting factor of cost by providing alternative pathways into the sport i.e. through the static line course and aiding individuals to gain Royal Aero Club Trust bursaries which can help progress within the sport
Actively working on the connection with a local drop zone to have more financial benefits and support such as reduced jump ticket costs, which British University Skydiving will help to enable
Connect with like-minded students across the country through other skydiving societies and the British university skydiving branch of the British Skydiving Association
