Society Description
1. Celebrate an Underrated City – Bradford is often overlooked, but it has a rich history, vibrant culture, and significant contributions to the UK. This society gives it the recognition it deserves.
2. Bridge the North-South Divide – Many students at Exeter may not be familiar with Northern cities like Bradford as the surrounding areas. BAS would introduce them to its northern culture, history, and identity.
3. Food & Culture – Bradford is the Curry Capital of the UK and a UNESCO City of Film. This society would celebrate its incredible cuisine, film heritage, and arts scene.
4. Connect Students from Different Backgrounds – Whether students are from the North, South, or beyond, BAS offers a space to appreciate regional diversity and build friendships.
5. Fun & Engaging Events – From curry nights to film screenings, accent challenges to Bradford vs. Exeter quizzes, the society would bring unique and entertaining events to campus.
