The aims of the poetry society are to:

- create a space for students to share their appreciation for poetry

- encourage open discussion and analysis of different types of poems

- have a place where students can both share their favourite poems and explore different poems brought by other people

- have a safe space for people to bring their own poetry, and for others to provide feedback on

Our objectives are to:

- meet weekly to read and share poetry

- have poems from a new theme each week (e.g love, nature, horror) to discuss

- allow members to share their own poems at the end of each session, if they are comfortable doing so

- host open discussions and analysis of the poems read each week, to encourage different viewpoints when thinking about poetry

- create a safe, laid-back space to discuss poetry, literature, etc
