Society Description

I am Kishan Marsonia, currently pursuing my MSc in Financial Technology at the University of Exeter, I am keenly aware of the transformative power of FinTech and blockchain technologies in shaping the future of finance. My academic journey has deepened my understanding of these fields, and I am passionate about sharing this knowledge and enthusiasm with my peers. Starting the FinTech Soc is a step towards creating a collaborative and innovative environment where like-minded individuals can come together to explore, learn, and contribute to the evolving landscape of financial technology.

Aims and Objectives of the Society:

Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice: To provide practical exposure to FinTech concepts learned in academic courses, giving members a deeper understanding of their real-world applications.

Fostering a Community of Innovators: To create a supportive environment where students can collaborate, share ideas, and nurture innovations in the field of FinTech.

Promoting Industry Engagement: To facilitate interactions with industry professionals, offering insights into the latest trends and career opportunities in FinTech and blockchain.

Encouraging Ethical and Sustainable Practices: Highlighting the importance of ethical decision-making and sustainability in financial technology.

Facilitating Research and Development: To motivate members to engage in research projects and development initiatives in FinTech, enhancing their academic and professional profiles.

Global Exposure and Networking: To provide opportunities for international collaboration and networking, expanding our members' horizons and global perspectives in FinTech.

Starting the FinTech Soc at the University of Exeter aligns with my personal and professional aspirations. It is an opportunity to contribute to the university community, while also empowering students to be at the forefront of technological advancements in finance. My vision is to see the FinTech Soc become a hub of innovation and learning, shaping the future leaders of the FinTech industry.
