- Creating a supportive and inclusive community for an otherwise widely dispersed degree
- Creating a peer mentoring scheme where students can go to older years for support and advice
- Prevent feelings of isolation in an otherwise potentially isolating degree by creating a community of likeminded people with the same niche experience
- Raise awareness of the degree as most people don't know what a Liberal Arts degree is
- Collaborating with different societies so Liberal Arts students get the taste of what their subject specific societies are like
