Sports Medicine is a rapidly expanding and dynamic field that cultivates doctors dedicated to promoting physically active lifestyles for preventing and managing chronic illnesses. Additionally, it focuses on treating and preventing exercise-related injuries across a spectrum ranging from the “weekend warrior” to the professional athlete.

Placement opportunities and exposure to sports medicine in medical school are typically limited. We're committed to changing that by boosting awareness and interest in the field, improving education in sports medicine, and facilitating hands-on experience with professionals, thus creating more opportunities for students.

Currently, the Sports Medicine Society is inactive on the student guild website; our aim is to revive it, reigniting enthusiasm for this specialty.
