XpressionFM are electing individuals to take up committee positions for the 2025/26 year. There are a variety of roles available covering all aspects of the station’s on-air, production, admin and management; all interested individuals are encouraged to apply.

The positions available are as follows:
- Station Manager (Exec role): Responsible for the overall direction and management of the station. Includes communicating with stakeholders including Guild staff and Alumni, and maintaining member experience and wellbeing, including for committee.
- Deputy Station Manager (Exec role): Deputises for the Station Manager, offering support to committee members where appropriate. Oversees member recruitment and supports with specific agreed areas of the station. Manages the station’s finances and other areas of administration.
- Programmes Controller (Exec role): Responsible for the operations of the station’s on-air presence. This includes processing show applications, ensuring all presenters are following our Code of Conduct and technical guidelines, and ensuring presenters enjoy their broadcasting experience.
- Head of News (x2): Responsible for controlling output of the station’s News team. This includes content team shows, Guild sabbatical officer coverage, News bulletins and coverage of significant news events.
- Head of Music (x2): Responsible for controlling output of the station’s Music team. This includes content team shows, interviews and live sets, managing the A and B lists and annual charity broadcast.
- Head of Sport (x2): Responsible for controlling output of the station’s Sport team. This includes content team shows, interviews and commentaries.
- Head of Drama (x2): Responsible for controlling output of the station’s Drama team. This includes content team shows, interviews and drama team plays.
- Head of Marketing: Responsible for overseeing the station’s social media accounts and branding. Creates content for the station and aspects of its content teams, and presenters where sought.
- Head of Station Sound and Podcasting: Responsible for creating and supporting station jingles and other sound packages. Leads the station’s support for members wishing to create and publish podcasts.
- Head of Technical Operations: Responsible for supporting members with the station’s equipment, and keeping it in a healthy state. Encourages good practice with equipment and supports enhancing the station’s technical capabilities for events.
- Head of Training: Responsible for the station’s training programme, and takes the lead on new presenters having a positive start to broadcasting. Works to support additional training initiatives for members.
- Head of Events: Responsible for planning social events, special broadcasts and station-wide initiatives. Supports with content team events where required.
- Networking and Outreach Officer: Responsible for supporting presenters with booking guests and artists, and arranging on-air features for the station. Oversees the station’s communication with its alumni.
- Welfare Secretary: Responsible for supporting the wellbeing of all members, including committee by supporting with workload where appropriate. Works to ensure members feel welcome in the station and provides signposting for those who require additional support.
