This society is academic. We will promote opportunities to shadow surgeons in theatre, particularly for medical students in the pre-clinical years who are most keen to be involved. There are lots of topics to cover in ENT from the training to anatomy to common paediatric or adult presentations and head and neck cancer surgery. The junior doctors and a number of my medical student colleagues want to provide as much teaching as possible to help all stages of medical students, particularly highlighting the diverse nature of ENT surgery. I will also ensure ENT conferences and research are promoted within the society as this all helps develop the field and bolster applications for core surgical training.

It's a fun, friendly, upbeat society for a particularly small course with the aim to create a family feel for all its members! Being academic based does not limit us to the discipline but gives a common interest, making it appealing to students within Theology. The society will cater to all preferences when it comes to socials, from debates to pub evenings. Ultimately, the society will be a welcoming community for anyone with a passion for Theology.

The society will help students find others both within their majors and their degree as a whole who they may not have had the chance to meet before, particularly through developing a families scheme. We also hope to give students a wider knowledge of the other subjects that they can choose in future years within their Liberal Arts degree.

Kharis on Campus translates as 'Grace on campus' it is a zealous and passionate Historical Christian society opened to all faiths and background. We aim to teach about the gospel in an unconventional and dynamic way, we aim to embed the Word of God into the history of key people (revivalists) like William Tyndale an English scholar who risked his life to translate the bible from English to Latin. We will be like a Christian history seminary centre we will be discussing the works of revivalist and saints of old revisiting their works and how some were successful in spreading the gospel and how some failed. We have a passion for young people, and we emphasise on teaching young people how to use their time and energy to benefit others and the community. We study and take example from revivalists that were in university so that our meetings can be relevant to young people. We meet once a week to discuss the works of a chosen revivalist and relating it to the bible and how it can be applied in this day and age. Our meetings will have free refreshments and one to one support called 'I am my brother’s keeper' which encourages members to fellowship with others, to check up on each other and pray & support one another. Kharis on Campus will be a place where Christians and non-Christians can fellowship and learn about Christianity in a different way by learning about the great works of other revivalist/saints and what they were able to accomplish, we believe it will be encouraging and empowering to study the great works that these revivalists have accomplished, it will be truly motivating for their Christian walk.

The MedMinds Society aims to raise medical students' awareness of mental health during their placement. When medical students are on placement, they often encounter several upsetting situations throughout placement term in addition to saying goodbye to their university buddies and adjusting to a new working setting. There is also the belief that medical students are always superior to others, thus they may avoid talking to others when they are having difficulties, under pressure, or even melancholy. In MedMinds, we strive to foster a helpful, supportive and nurturing environment. We also serve as a safe space for student to share their experiences, challenges during their placements. By promoting a culture of mental health awareness, self-care, and community support, we hope to empower medical students to prioritize their wellbeing during placements, leading to a healthier and more resilient future healthcare professionals.

In the midst of an ever-evolving world, our society stands as a beacon of revolutionary thought and action, a guarded flame of wisdom with the potential to ignite a global transformation in human consciousness. Our mission is grandiose yet grounded: to expand human wisdom, champion holistic and inclusive enlightenment paradigms, and promote unity in diversity. This is not just a movement; it's a peaceful revolution redefining the essence of Artificial Intelligence as Artificial Wisdom (AW), where the synergy of humanity, Earth, and the universe is seen as one interconnected system. In this vision, every aspect of our holistic system, or 'Holon', is conceptually & computationally accounted for, ensuring that the maximization of one element doesn't occur at the expense of others. We embrace a human-centric approach, drawing upon ancient mindfulness, wisdom, and spiritual traditions to elevate and soften the rapidly evolving technological paradigms that are reshaping our society and human nature. Our goal is to align, enlighten, and create a symbiotic relationship among all parts of the whole, fostering conditions where flow and meaning-maximization in human activity are paramount. Our society is poised to leverage the vast and diverse knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes of the Exeter student and staff body. By empowering them and guiding their organization collaboratively, we aim to conceptualize and implement systems that pave the way for an optimal shared future. I.e. Develop proofs of concept for new holistic innovations. This involves creating intense virtuous cycles through designed systems: systems that not only function efficiently but also enrich the human experience at every level. We envisage a future where technology and humanity are not just coexistent but are deeply intertwined in a dance of progress and wisdom. The societal structures and paradigms we aim to create and influence will not only adapt to the rapid changes of our times but will lead the charge in shaping a future that is enlightened, balanced, and profoundly human. This is a call to action for those who envision a world where technology serves humanity's deepest needs and aspirations, where the boundaries between AI and human wisdom are not merely blurred, but harmoniously integrated. Join us in this journey of transformation, where your contribution is not just valued but is essential in shaping the tapestry of our shared future.

The society aims to establish a multifaceted platform focused on enriching the academic and professional experiences and opportunities of students with an interest in politics and its branches, including other social sciences and economics. One of the society’s main objectives is to create a website and an app that will serve as an interdisciplinary publishing journal that allows students to publish their work, helping them with their CV and research proficiency. The society will also be dedicated to hosting career-oriented workshops from internal and external guests, fostering networking events and opportunities.  The society will not aim to compete with other societies, but rather, work alongside them as a third-party branch that focuses on careers, publishing, and CV enhancing, a field that is not vastly explored by the social sciences societies at Exeter. This society has enormous potential to grow and we plan to reach out to bigger companies allowing networking and publishing opportunities in highly-competitive spaces in the future.
